Finance Assistant

We are looking for a new crew member to join our Business Support Team. The role is part-time school holiday cover, based at our central St Albans office.

  • Are you a great organiser, self-motivated, flexible and a team player?
  • Do you have strong admin skills, good work ethic, excellent communication skills and eye for detail?
  • Can you use Quickbooks and the full Microsoft Office Suite (ideally advanced level of Excel)?
  • Do you have good IT knowledge, office admin experience and business-related qualifications?

Health & Safety Management Consultant

Responsibilities

You will work with a wide range of clients, many of them within the property sector to achieve continual improvement. This includes developing robust management systems for clients in line with company processes and implementing these fully. In particular:

  • Undertake initial reviews and create reports and action plans from these
  • Assist clients with creating electronic and hard copy documentation management systems
  • Ensure steering groups are organised throughout the year and facilitated
  • Annually auditing clients via our Safety Ribbon standards
  • Conducting interim checks and inspections for clients where required
  • Organising and undertaking risk assessment work
  • Creating operating procedures, templates and systems which will help clients to meet legal standards in line with company standards and existing processes
  • Ensuring client policy documents are reviewed annually and have been created in the company standard where possible
  • Training Others
  • Helping clients create good systems for recording staff training and storing training information
  • Making best use of available client time, planning this over the year and helping them to stay focused and organised. Staying aware of time availability with clients, ensuring their time is used proactively
  • Ensuring client action plans are kept up to date
  • Creating systems for clients so they can monitor internal incidents, accidents and near misses
  • Ensuring client organisations develop positively over time
  • Maintaining own CPD records and filing certificates
  • Take personal responsibility for developing personal knowledge to provide excellence in all aspects, staying current.
  • Provide consistent, reliable and correct advice
  • Actively seek out new business and new client opportunities

Qualifications

  • Relevant degree or NVQ Level 5 as a minimum
  • NEBOSH Diploma or in the process of completing this (or equivalent)
  • BIFM qualified FMs with a flair for Health, Safety and Environmental Management would be a great fit with us
  • Qualified EHO’s equally welcomed

Environmental & Quality Consultant – Part Time Role

We would like to hear from potential environmental consultants who enjoy working under their own initiative, like the flexibility working from home can offer and have a genuine desire to help organisations become more environmentally aware. If you are commercially minded, have a naturally positive outlook, are trustworthy, honest and have excellent communication skills we would love to speak to you.

Responsibilities

The role will involve you working with a wide range of clients some of whom have very few Environmental or Quality standards and others with established ISO accreditations. You will work alongside clients to undertake a review of their current standards and work with them to help them reach their goals and objectives. Specifically, this will include

  • Undertaking initial reviews to determine clients current standards. Developing action plans from this to assist them in meeting their goals & objectives
  • Auditing to our green ribbon standard
  • Creating environmental management arrangements in order for organisations to achieve ISO14001 standards
  • Assisting organisations with achieving ISO 9001 and ISO 50001
  • Project managing ESOS compliance
  • Candidates with a working knowledge of OSHAS18001 would be desirable
  • Keeping clients updated with changes to Environmental legislation, best practice or standards as it affects them
  • Creating and delivering relevant training courses
  • Assisting with the promotion of Hosking Associates Environmental & Quality service – writing blogs and articles for our website and relevant trade journals
  • Creating new business opportunities
  • Providing clients with a really great service

Qualifications

  • A relevant degree as a minimum
  • AIEMA Associate level membership

Experience & Capabilities
